Social mobility masterclass for employers #3: Leadership & Culture
Leadership and Culture – building a diverse workforce, with Grant Thornton
Inclusive teams make better business decisions 87% of the time – and twice as fast, delivering 60% better results; so it makes sense for employers to nurture this talent.
Our previous two sessions covered outreach and hiring. So, once you have attracted and hired that diverse talent, how do you then nurture, develop and empower individuals working within your organisation? Leadership & Culture is all about creating an inclusive and welcoming environment, enabling people to thrive.
This session will take the form of:
• A short presentation by the Social Mobility Commission.
• An in-depth case-study from Grant Thornton, a leading business and financial adviser.
• An interactive workshop for employers in which to explore ideas, share insights and tackle some of the challenges in developing an inclusive, diverse culture.
After the session, we will share an ‘after-pack’ with attendees that includes a check-list to help you refine your ideas and develop any existing initiatives. We will also be uploading a recording of the presentation and case-study for those of you who were unable to attend. Check our News & Events for details or to view past sessions.
We hope that you will be able to join us and thank you for being committed to driving real change in the social mobility space.
In the meantime, you can also view our employers’ toolkit, which will give you some practical ideas. We know that a culture of diversity and inclusion starts at the top, so focus on getting the buy-in of senior leaders and create a meaningful two-way dialogue with your employees.
